At just 5 weeks of age Wandi was dropped into a backyard by a powerful bird of prey in the town of Wandiligong where he was found by Jayne, the homeowner. She wasn’t sure what she had stumbled upon but on closer examination and a trip to the vet it was determined that Wandi was a very lucky Dingo cub! He went off to live at the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre where DNA results proved that Wandi is a true, pure, alpine Dingo – something that many thought didn’t exist in Victoria anymore!
